Roblox at GDC 2026: Where to Find Us All Week
Come Pitch Us Your Games at Booth #1235 in the Festival Hall.
GDC 2026 kicks off at the Moscone Center in San Francisco next week (March 9–13), and we’re excited to join to talk about what the future holds, both for Roblox and across the broader games industry.
If you’re a game developer attending GDC, we want to talk to you! From Wednesday to Friday, we’ll be in Booth #1235 in the Festival Hall showing off some of the groundbreaking games that developers have made with Roblox Studio, including a racing game where players can create their own cars using our 4D generative tools. We’ll also have workstations available for anyone who wants to go hands-on with Roblox Studio or get pointers from our on-site engineers.
We’ll also be taking in-person pitches from teams who want to build on Roblox. Roblox has grown rapidly over the past few years, fueled by development teams using Roblox Studio’s accessible (and ever-growing) ecosystem of free tools to rapidly transform their ideas into exciting new realities—from genre-defining hits like Steal a Brainrot and Grow a Garden to games like Frontlines Versus and The Forge that redefine what’s possible on the platform.
These games go out to an audience of over 144M users per day and generate real returns, with creators earning over $1.5 billion through the Developer Exchange (DexEx) Program over the last 12 months.
Our goal at Roblox is simple: We want to let creators focus on making great games while we take care of the rest. We’re excited to talk directly with developers (new and veteran alike) about what the future of game development on Roblox looks like. If you’ve got an idea for a game you want to build with Roblox Studio, stop by the booth. We want to hear it.
Key Sessions
Outside the booth, we’ll be at the Blue Shield of California Theater in the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on Wednesday, March 11, at 10:30 a.m. for “The Next Wave of Game Development Is Small, Agile, Social, and Live.” In this 30-minute session, delivered by Justin Sousa, Head of Developer Community at Roblox, we will step into the cultural zeitgeist of Gens Z and Alpha to explore the generations shaping the future of gaming. We’ll examine the “Small Team, Big Impact” blueprint and how teams of fewer than 10 are capturing 25M+ concurrent users by prioritizing social loops and modern technology over static content.
Aspiring Roblox developers should also make time for “Catching Culture Currents: Riding Resonant Trends in Roblox and Beyond” on Friday, March 13, 11:40 a.m.–12:10 p.m. in Room 2005, Moscone West. The session is presented by leading Roblox creators Alec Kieft (99 Nights in the Forest) and Piercen Harbut (Bee Swarm Simulator), and explores how developers can identify emerging cultural trends and turn them into viral success on Roblox. You’ll come away from the session with key insights into trend-spotting and narrative development that can help shape your next game.
Those looking to create the next breakout hit on Roblox should stop by “Building Boundary‑Pushing Games on Roblox: Faster Iteration, Bigger Audiences, Better Monetization” on Thursday, March 12, 1:50–2:50 p.m. at the Festival Stage in South Hall. Four top Roblox developer teams will break down how they ship bold game ideas. From new mechanics and visual styles to live-ops and social design, they’ll share how they spot opportunities, prototype fast, and decide what games are worth scaling.
